My work investigates Egyptian civilisation through three lenses: what was taken away and needs to come back; what is hidden in the earth and the river and stays alive; and what remains inside Egypt — but the world hasn't seen yet.

Twelve paintings investigating major Ancient Egyptian artefacts held in foreign collections.

The Nile as a topographic body. Buried cities, layered time, and scenes from ancient tomb walls.

The unseen richness of artefacts and images still within Egypt — beyond the few icons the world recognises.

I came to this work through personal history and have stayed through years of research — visiting necropolis and temples, studying objects in museum collections, tracing the paths that artefacts have travelled away from the places that gave them meaning.
